I have a child with a disability and truly understand the overwhelming challenges families face. I particularly enjoy working with families with special needs children. In addition to my private practice, I also conduct a support group for parents with developmental disabilities on a volunteer basis. I have also led support groups for parents of premature babies and cancer survivors.

I also specialize in bereavement counseling. I am particularly skilled in helping people cope with all kinds of losses including divorce, adjustment to a special-needs child, illness and death.

I also enjoy conducting speaking engagements.

I am approachable, warm, and nurturing and feel my clients need to feel a strong therapeutic connection to feel successful in therapy. I work in partnership with clients and am active in therapy sessions. If clients put effort into therapy, then most will learn improved coping skills and be able to better manage life's challenges.
